Downsizing and Relocation Assistance

 

Moving into or out of a home can be an exciting, yet overwhelming experience. The list of things to do, coordinate and organize can be extensive. Do you have the time to get this all done in a timely and organized fashion?

 

In your old home I will assist you with the de-cluttering process by sorting through your possessions.  Together we will make decisions about what items will most enhance your new space. No need to move any unwanted items to clutter up your new space. Then I group all like items for packing which will simlify the unpacking process.

 

In your new home I assist you with unpacking and setting up storage solutions. Items will be put away in and organized fashion so you can function as quickly as possible.

Steps to getting organized

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

                 Step1: The  Consultation

 

We first meet for a 30 minute free* assessment, at which time we discuss your goals, needs and your usage of your current systems. We then formulate a plan according to your budget and timeline as well as schedule our first organizing session.

 

*A trip charge may be applicable if travel time is over 30 minutes.

 

 

 

            Step 2: Hands-on Organizing

 

Now it is time to put the plan into action. Most organizing sessions will last 4-6 hours. This gives us enough time to make and impact without being overwhelming. You will only have to be present for the decision making process as to what should stay and what should go. After the sorting process I implement efficient systems, and reorganize the space. 

 
 
 
  Step 3: Removal of unwanted items 
 
As part of my services I offer to drop off donations and provide you with the tax deductible receipt, or arrange pick-up of larger quantities.
 
 
 
 
                 Step 4: Maintenance
 
 
I provide you with the tools to keep the newly organized spaces running efficiently. However, we all realize that life is busy and things may sometimes get behind. Periodic maintenance is a great way to assure that the newly created spaces stay clutter-free and organized. A maintenance plan customized to your needs and resources will give you the peace of mind knowing that you will be able to get right back on track!
